No Fun, Just Pee

Mid-week update:

Alex will bring us rain. This is an excellent opportunity to just stay home, watch movie, read book, play, and most imporatantly.......make A pee in the potty. She stayed dry almost all day! Even when a 15 foot python was trying to lick her. (the pet show totally rocked.) With this heightened interest on her part, and a really good excuse to her sibilings for not wanting to go out in the weather, we are home for Thursday and Friday.

Come over. Join the potty party. Bring me a diet Coke. I will need em.

Oy Vey

I hate AT&T. My cell phone only usually works (instead of the always I would prefer) and I could not get my internet at home to work for the life of me the last couple days. Alas, I'm up and running again, so here's the week ahead....and behind

Big news: My niece, E, got baptized in a jacuzzi in China over the weekend. I know, so awesome.

Saturday night we went to the Luling Watermelon Thump. Check out the details online. There are so many cool festivals and fairs around the state, and so many are just an hour or two away. I wanna try to hit some more over the summer.

Monday was Mom is a total maniac about the house day. I cleaned and organized and goodwilled and uh! It was so necessary. Having all my peeps home has taken its toll on my clutter problem. So we cleaned. Allllllll day.

Today we had tutoring. Afterwards we had friends over to watch new on DVD Percy Jackson. C and E are both sleeping at friends houses tonight.

Wednesday- My visiting teachers are taking us to a pet shop/pet show in the morning. In the afternoon (depending on Alex the Hurricane's impact on my weather) we are going to the CF pool. C is going to sew with Grandma P. L is coming over in the evening, and C and E have activity days.

Thursday- Let's ACTUALLY go bowling this week. Seriously. No kidding.

Friday- A has been in class all week to get another fancy pantsy water licenscy thing. He has the test today, so I think we will make cupcakes for fun for us, and give him either "Sorry, nerd. maybe next time treats" or "Hooray, Scarecrow, you DO have a brain" treats. We will also park or pool. Maybe we'll try a new pool. Or just walk to ours.

Official Summer

So today is officially first day of summer. I watched Al Roker deliver the news and then the miserable forecast. Hot, no rain, yuck. Sometimes I wonder why people settled in a place with this climate. It must have been November. On that note, here's the forecast for fun (and work...the house must still run come back to school.) :

Monday- We did Chuck E. Cheese, the pool, frozen yogurt (yummo). I also cleaned and organized my closet, the little kids closet, did 7 loads of laundry, and cleaned and mopped the downstairs. I will pass out in short order.

Tuesday- C and E have tutoring. Our good friend the Ps have organized an outing to the sweet park downtown and its awesome pool. We may even ride the kid train. We are going to clean the playroom and the bathrooms.

Wednesday- We have a cousin coming in the morning, and we might hit VM Pool in the afternoon. Otherwise we will just visit ours. We are going to clean the car, and the tv room.

Thursday- I think we will be done with swimming, so we are going bowling. We're going to see Toy Story 3 in the late afternoon. Big kids rooms will be organized.

Friday- Oy. Craft Day. I will post the actual craft we're doing once we figure it out. We are going to clean out the freezer in the garage. I may be calling some of you to bum your coolers.

June 7, 2010

I tried to post our schedule last night, but blogspot was having some technical issues. But herre it is now:

Today: We had a bike wash, went to the pool with KB and kids. Super fun. This afternoon C and E are going to see their tutor, and tonight we are making peach ice cream with peaches we bought at a farm stand. Yummy.

Tuesday: C and E have tutoring (we start our summer schedule time) in the morning and since we have chance of rain, we are doing crafts in the afternoon. E is going on a playdate. E and H have swim lessons. Dad and I have a hot dinner date with C and TH. Yay!

Wednesday: Chance of rain again, so Movie Day! We are going to see Shrek4 or Marmaduke. Wednesday night we have some little friends coming to visit for the night (their mom is having surgery at the crack of dawn on Thursday)

Thursday: Thursday we will hit the library in the morning and the pool in the afternoon.

Friday: Bowling (with our fancy pantsy free summer passes) and then Mom and Dad are heading to the temple at 4:00

Saturday: E has her dance recital

And then somewhere in the middle of all of this I need to get the house clean, make meals, exercise and everything else. Oy vey.

Day 1. ( and yes, I know we were at school half the day.)

We dropped C off at the BH pool for the 5th grade party.
E,H,A and Mom headed to the CF pool with the F fam for a splashy good time.
We left the pool, picked up C, and dropped H off at a Sprinkler Bday Party.
We came home, got pretty, picked up H, and headed into town to meet Dad for a fancy pantsy dinner on the lake. We even got to ride in a golf cart. Awesome.

Tomorrow we going to L's baptism in the morning. Sunday we can't do anything fun because, well, it would make God mad, soooo..... That is the day I will plan and post the upcoming week's sheningans. (Does planning sheningans mean I'm breaking the sabbath?) I will pray about it and get back to you.

And the madness begins......

This morning we ended the school year. We were all a little teary. C paraded down the halls of the school in her cardboard cap, and E said goodbye to the friends at the old school. We drove away and felt the rush of summer upon us. The freedom! The fun! And then we walked in the door, and summer began. The fighting, the boredom, the blank stares. Hooray. Summer.

So a couple hours later, sitting at the pool, talking to my friend, DF, I thought, "Why not start a blog?" I can keep our friends posted on our adventures so they can tag along. I can be accountable to the great abyss of blog readers to do more than iCarly marathons and noggin. But best of all, I will have an account of all our fun, so when my kiddos complain that we never do anything, and their lives are so terrible, I can say, "Oh, yeah?

Here we go:
